Fiber Arts at Misty Hollow and Beyond
Jen LOVES the fiber arts. When she was very young, her mother taught her how to crochet. Not long after that, her grandmother taught her how to knit. Later on in life, Jen learned that wool was wonderful knitting stuff, and Angora was one of her favorites- hence the rabbits on the farm. What should have been a small "spinner's flock" turned into the breeding and showing operation here today.
The fiber arts remain a priority here at Misty Hollow. In the winter months when outside work is limited by the New England weather, Jen is often found by the wood stove in a comfy chair working on some sort of needlework.
Here at Misty Hollow, we believe that the fiber arts are best shared with friends. One of Jen's friends has opened a store and community learning center in Upton, MA, and you can find Jen there teaching knit and crochet classes. If you are in the area and would like to learn how to knit, crochet, or do so many other things, please visit A Little Common Sense in Upton. Massachusetts. The store is full of locally made crafts and delicious foodstuffs, made by local folks like us! We LOVE little places like this, and invite you to join us in supporting your local farmers and craftspeople!
